Understanding Who You Are In Christ 9-8-26

No understanding, no good success!

This week I plan to help some people to understand who they are in Christ. Example- I  know Christ because of my relationship with Him but understanding is something different. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding (Proverbs 4:7).

Topical – wisdom is the comprehensive, God-centered quality of mind and life that discerns what is truly right and acts accordingly.

Topical – understanding encompasses intellectual discernment, moral insight, and the God-given capacity to grasp the implications of truth. It is more than knowledge; it is the ability to differentiate, to weigh, and to choose rightly in light of God’s revelation. I say AMEN to that!

Anyone who really knows who they are in Christ should conduct themselves in a way that is pleasing to Him. I truly believe that happens when one learns the first principles. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe (Hebrews 5:12-13).

Example: People who grew up with good morals were trained by their parents to represent their family well. In other words, they trained their children at a young age (Proverbs 22:6).

We are ambassadors- Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God (2 Corinthians 5:20). If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God. If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 4:11).

Biblical meaning of ambassador - We speak what our heavenly Father tells us to speak (it’s in His Word), but how is that know without proper teaching and understanding what is read. If one does not know who they are, how can they have a successful life?

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8-9). No understanding, no good success!
