Every Promise of God is Yes and Amen!
This is a piggy back yesterday’s message pertaining to: “Will All the Saints Go to Heaven When Jesus returns?”
Since there are different views on who will go with Jesus when He returns, I am sharing what the Word of God says.
Also, there has been controversy about the rapture and some say it’s not in the Bible, which is true, but rapture means to be snatched away or caught up- Caught up together (1 Thessalonians 4:17). The word Bible is not written the scriptures, but Bible means the Word of God. Again, this means all the saints, both dead and living will go back with Jesus when He comes.
The Word of God says out “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.” (2 Corinthians 13:1). By the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established (Deuteronomy 19:15b). Since that is true, the Word of God is always confirmed by more than one scripture, meaning the more the same scripture is written shows that every Word is true because it is established.
Rapture – to be caught up.
Enoch: And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him (Genesis 5:24); this means that Enoch did not experience death.
Elijah: Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven (2 Kings 2:11). This does not mean that Elijah when to the third heaven where God is; nobody could go to heaven until after Jesus rose from the dead.
There are three heavens: The
First Heaven (our atmosphere),
The Second Heaven (outer space),
The Third Heaven (God’s dwelling place).
The Old Testament saints went to Abraham’s bosom which was called paradise. After Jesus rose from the dead, paradise and the Old Testament saints went to heaven (Ephesians 4:8-10).
Noah- Only he and his family were saved when God destroyed the earth. And behold, I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall die. But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark—you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you (Genesis 6:17-18).
This is symbolic of the Christians being saved from the wrath of God. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him (Romans 5:9).
Hallelujah! Glory to God!!!
