Jesus Washed Away My Sins 10-22-24
If you wash your body or anything else that’s dirty, it will get dirty again. In other words, one wash will not clean whatever is dirty, to be a permanent fix.
There is a cleansing that is permanent. Jesus takes away the stain of sin. We are washed, cleansed, righteous, whole, and complete in Christ. Whatever sin we fall into, which happens on a daily basis, does not take away our eternal status when it comes to salvation.
What is affected eternally is the rewards that will be received for fulfilling God’s purpose in our lives; or a loss of rewards for not being faithful in our calling/assignment (Matthew 25:24-28, 1Corinthians 3:12-15).
God does not look at our sins, because they are something He knows will happen because of Adam’s sin. The Lord looks at us through Jesus because He washed our sins away.
Therefore, our sins that we practice are forgiven when we confess it to our Father (1 John 1:9). The sin that we commit takes us out of fellowship with God; that’s why it is important to confess (acknowledge) our sins quickly.
This is who we are when it comes to God and what He thinks of us:
Masterpiece - For we are His workmanship [masterpiece], created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well (Psalm 139:14).
Royal priests, Peculiar - But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).
Precious –
Exodus 20:13, Psalm 139:13-16 - God values human life.
Matthew 6:26 - Jesus acknowledges our value over all creation.
John 3:16 - God's love for us led to Christ's sacrifice.
Isaiah 43:4 - We are precious in God's sight.
1 John 3:1 - We are called children of God.
Always remember that Jesus took care of all our past, present, and future sins. That goes beyond happiness; it gives us joy unspeakable joy!
