What Happens if You Get the Address Wrong? 10-7-25

Some Scriptures that are Quoted out of Place – could be the wrong street, city, state, or zip code

You could knock on stranger’s door and get hurt. Well, it the same way with the Word of God; if it’s not in the right place, it will do a lot of damage.

Example: You are believing the Lord for healing, but you say you’re covered by the blood. Blood is for salvation; it cleanses sin and you’re no longer dirty.

Anyone who needs to be healed should use the proper scripture; that’s the only way you can be healed. Jesus shed His precious blood for our sins, but He was also physically wounded, therefore, by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24).

You quote the Word of God for protection and say “Cover me with your blood;” the only time people were covered by the blood was in the Old Testament. Their covering by the blood of animals was temporary;  For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins (Hebrews 10:4).

When Jesus died and rose from the dead, He cleansed (redeemed) us, not covered us. Covering was temporary until Jesus took our sins away completely (permanently) by His shed blood that cleansed; washed and made us whole. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace (Ephesians 1:7).

I’m Betty A. Burnett - before the blood of Jesus cleansed me I needed salvation. I lived several places, because I had a different address for whatever my crazy self desired to do. One address was 3:23 Romans Court, still in that unrighteous sinful state which continued until I decided to do something in other cities and states as my sinful desires and habits increased-  Bronx, New York (my Sodom and Gomorrah), Jersey City and Camden, New Jersey (my Babylon), Philadelphia Pennsylvania (my Corinth), all of which the sins seemed to be more exciting!

UNTIL one day, I realized the life I was living was taking me to a dead inn street, and I heard a voice say, “Jesus is knocking on your door (my heart), will you let Him in (Revelation 3:20)?” I responded with yes and made a confession with my mouth and believed in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead; this happened on10:9-10 Romans Road which changed my life forever and I moved to the other side of the road to 2:8-9 Ephesians Way because I was no longer the same; God saved me by His grace. The change took place in Greensboro, North Carolina.

I was surrounded by the Good News; since Jesus came into my heart, I have not been the same.

I am so glad that according to God’s Holy and Perfect Word, Jesus is the Only Way -road, highway, interstate street, court that I could receive eternal life. That Way is 14:6 St. John’s Place that can be found any place on the map.

I learned and accepted that  it was and still is This same Jesus that gives salvation. Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Even with that being so, none of this would be possible if Jesus did not shed His precious blood. That’s why it is important to know what address to use.

Friends, please get your address right and be blessed with all the promises of God. It is embarrassing when you don’t know your own address. You just might miss some important mail; there could have been a million dollar check, but because your address was wrong, you didn’t receive the million dollar blessing.
