What or Who Does Jesus Look Like? 9-2-2025

If you want to know what Jesus looks like, look at all the saints whose LIGHTS are so shining! Jesus said: As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world (John 9:5). This verse explains itself. So, when Jesus left, who became lights? Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.” This was said while Jesus was ministering on the earth.

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:13-16).

Jesus starts off telling His disciples that they are the salt of the earth- salt is a preservative, it is flavorful, and it also stings – The Word of God is similar to meat being preserved and aged makes it more flavorful makes it more flavorful and nourishment that will cause whoever is eating it to be developed into spiritual maturity, just as proper nourishment in the natural helps one to be healthy physically.

Salt also stings; symbolic of healing a wound; it also could have a stinging effect when correction is given, which is edifying. If you see someone on the wrong path, should you just let it go or bring correction for their eyes to be open and prayerfully there will be a change in the person’s life. That’s my understanding of what salt means spiritually.

We are to imitate Christ - Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.  And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering, and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma (Ephesians 5:1-2).

You are the light of the world- how bright is your light shining?

1)      We are the only Jesus that people see if we let our light so shine- if you have little light, it’s under a basket …. You are the light of the world- how bright is your light shining?

2)      Do you look like a city on a hill that cannot be hid?

3)      Or is your light hidden under a basket?

4)      Is your light lit up like a lampstand for everyone to see?

Friends, see if of these portray you; what about your characteristics? A little light, or bright like  a lampstand that gives light to the whole house. If someone could see inside your house what would they see you doing?

If you really want to know what Jesus looks, look at all the various ethnic groups of different racial backgrounds and the many complexions from the darkest to the lightest ones who shine out for Jesus, then you will see and know what Jesus looks like.

Please stop drawing what you think Jesus looks like, and all those lying portraits of Jesus should

be destroyed because none of them look like Jesus Christ. AND! If you have a little light; you are a baby indeed. Nobody starts off with a bright light, which comes with growth (2 Peter 3:18). If you have been saved for a while, your light should not still be dim.

Now that you know the TRUTH about what JESUS looks like, do whatever possible to look like Him, and act like Him. Will you be one of the few who will really LOOK like JESUS?
