Where God Leads, He Provides (Isaiah 58:11) 11-8-24

When the Lord speaks to us and gives specific instructions to the place He sends us, He makes provisions for everything that is needed.  However, as with Abraham and others our faith will be tested. The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones. You shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

Examples:

Abraham- The Lord told Abraham this:  Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family And from your father’s house to a land that I will show you (Genesis 12:1). Although Abraham got sidetracked because of a famine –  Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to dwell there, for the famine was severe in the land (Genesis 12:10). There was another occurrence many years later that

Abraham went to Egypt again (Genesis, chapter 20). Even though it looks as though the Lord is not going do what He promise, the tests are there to help us to grow and our experiences help us to trust God more. However, sometimes we forget that our God never falls short of His Word; that every promise of God is yes and amen to the glory of God through us (2 Corinthians 1:20). because but the Lord will not send us anywhere without providing for us.

Moses – The Lord told Moses that He was going to send Him back to Egypt to deliver His people from bondage. That was a test indeed. Moses used an excuse that he had a speech impediment. I can understand why he didn’t want to go back to Egypt; after all he fled because he killed an Egyptian that was beating a Hebrew. Even though Moses grew up in Pharaoh’s house and was raised be the king’s daughter, he never forgot who he was. Moses life and ministry is in the books of Exodus through Deuteronomy.

Joseph and Mary-  When Herod saw that the wise men had tricked him, he was furious. So, he gave an order to kill all the baby boys in Bethlehem and in the surrounding area who were two years old or younger. This was in keeping with the time he learned from the wise men.

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.” When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt,  and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son” (Matthew 2:12-16).

Paul- throughout his journeys that the Lord led him on, surely He provided for him. That’s why Paul wrote the church at Philippi and to us: And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19)..

Betty – I desire and have put forth great effort in allowing the Spirit of the Lord to guide me. It is not easy, but it is worth it. The greatest Joy and peace that I experience is to know that I am being led by the Spirit. The results from being obedient are absolutely amazing! When my resources get low, the Almighty God my Source provides in ways that are absolutely mind boggling.

What the readers can take away from the testimonials of people who believed God and they overcame all their obstacles. I am living an abundant life because my God supplies every need that I have according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus- He is Jehovah-Jireh, my Provider!
