Sunday Challenge - Where is Your Faith? 3-9-25

I posted a message recently about circumstances that cause people to be afraid (fearful). On Thursday, March 6th , my niece, and I were grocery shopping. While looking at different items,  we saw the eggs which were quite pricy.

A lady was trying to decide which carton (name brand) to buy. She put the eggs in her shopping cart and proceeded walking together and talking about the high cost of food, but especially the eggs. As we continued we saw another shelf with eggs on it and eighteen eggs  were $15.99.

I guess you know that was really a shock! At that point, the Spirit of God opened the door to share about our Great God. I said this: “Children of God don’t look at the economy, the astronomical prices, we look to the Lord and trust Him to supply our every need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Apparently, she focused on the circumstance, and the conversation brought back to looking at God as our Source. She agreed, and said “I must put faith over fear”

On Friday, March 7th, the Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance what one of my nieces said in August 2023. This is the story/testimony. It was the day before my trip back to New Jersey from Greensboro.

I drove to my in-laws house, parked, and got out of my truck. Out of the house comes my niece Karen screaming “Aunt Betty, Aunt Betty” We embraced and went in the house. My two sister in laws greeted me. Harriet (lady of the house) has been an awesome cake baker know to me from the time we met in the nineteen seventies.

One piece of cake was left and I think Linda the other sister in law was planning to eat it. That was not a happening thing, because the Lord preserved that cake for me; it had my invisible name on it.

The four of us went into the living room and was planned to be a half hour visit, ending up being a few hours and to God be the glory for a wonderfully blessed time of fellowship and sharing of His goodness; how He had worked in each of our lives. Ps. I will not leave Pete out (Harriet's husband) ; he into the living room and spoke to me.

I asked Harriet and Karen about sending me a story to post on my ministry blog and social media. It seemed as though their schedules would not permit it. But God had a plan and He used the expensive eggs to bring about a message from the tee-shirt Karen was wearing “Faith over fear.”

By the time Karen finished sharing how the Lord worked in her life as to what seemed to impossible, I was about ready to shout, but praise were being expressed. The tee shirt was part of her testimony to open the door to share the amazing way the Lord manifested something that would be too hard for a person but never too hard for Him.

This is my point today; Karen was trusting the Lord to do the impossible then and He came through. Going into two years later when many of us are being affected by situations that could be like shockwaves, are we going to give in to fear or are we going to be strong in the power of His might and let our faith be over fear?

It’s a choice. God is not pleased when we do not trust Him. Without faith it is impossible to please Him (Hebrews 11:6). Remember this: God takes care of us. After all, He owns everything.
