Some exercises are a challenge, but they are for my good.
Some exercises are a challenge, but they are for my good.

Today I want to share the difference between The called and called. There is a big difference between the two. The means to speak of something specific – Example: “Move that chair” (THE)- a specific chair. Move a chair means to move any chair. Some Bible translations leave THE out.

Many people including people including some leaders leave THE out, and it is an important word, which changes the entire meaning of the verse. To leave something out is saying that All things work together for the good of them that love the Lord who are according to His purpose. Is everything working together for the good of those who are going to hell?

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). NKJV and KJV- I use the King James Version and the New King James Version most of the time because the words are connected; the New King James Version uses a present day English whereas the King James Version uses the old English language these most of the time.

I do have other translations that leave THE out of Romans 8:28. To leave the out of this scripture, it is saying that everybody is the same and they are saved. Every born again believer is THE called because they are the specific. Although we are many, we are one body in Christ.

You may question God about this, but it is none of your business; just be thankful that you are one of THE specific. Because God is Sovereign;  What shall we say then?

Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not!  For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.”  So, then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy……

For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.”  Therefore, He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens. You will say to me then, “Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?”

But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?” Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor? (Romans 9:14-19)

Those who are called are called to serve God’s purpose even though they are not saved. Example: Pharaoh served God’s purpose in delivering the Israelites from Egypt, but he was not THE called.

What Joseph's brothers meant for evil God worked it for Joseph's good. It was necessary for experience tough times before he could be raised in a position next to the king of Egypt. As for you, what you intended against me for evil, God intended for good, in order to accomplish a day like this--to preserve the lives of many people. You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. (Genesis 50:20).

Example: Judas -   When evening had come, He sat down with the twelve.  Now as they were eating, He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me. ”And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and each of them began to say to Him, “Lord, is it I?” He answered and said, “He who dipped his hand with Me in the dish will betray Me. The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.” Then Judas, who was betraying Him, answered, and said, “Rabbi, is it I? He said to him, “You have said it.”(Matthew 26:20-25)

Since THE Sovereign God knows all and is in total control of everything, and He never does anything wrong, we are told to trust Him even when we don’t understand. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3-5-6). We restrict God from directing our paths if we don’t trust Him.

My brothers and sisters, please use the Word of God correctly. We are specific and special to God – THE called!

Every challenge works out for my good.
