Who is Called to Take the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Why? 5-26-26

Every child of God has been commissioned by Jesus to proclaim His Gospel.
Years ago, I heard a pastor say on live TV that pastors are commissioned to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
He used this verse: How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?
And how shall they hear without a preacher?
And how shall they preach unless they are sent?
As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!” (Romans 10:14-15).
It was shameful for the pastor to speak such nonsense out of his mouth. Apparently when he read “How can they hear without a preacher, he did not understand that all born again believers are preachers in this sense; we are commissioned by Jesus to proclaim/preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ whatever part of the world we are in.
Yet it has to be done properly and this is the way Jesus did. He taught His disciples before sending them out to proclaim the Good News. The Gospel is not effective unless there is proper training; Jesus sent His disciples out after He taught them.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen (Matthew 28:19-20).
I went with one of my pastor to visit a member’s daughters and prior to us leaving, he said why don’t you come to church Sunday and hear the Word and get saved?”
Once we left the house I said,
“Why would they have to come to church to get saved?
Why wasn’t the Gospel presented to them where they were?”
This was one certainly indicated that the pastor did not have a full understanding of how and when to share the Gospel. One church I was in had an evangelism class, praise the Lord! I was the leader of our evangelism team and the class although someone else taught it. One pastor/friend asked me to present a skit on evangelism at a city stage; several people were involved/participated.
Back to a pastor not understanding that all born again believers proclaim the Gospel; many people get mixed up or don’t understand the difference between evangelism and the office/ministry of evangelist. Every child of God is called to evangelize (proclaim/carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but every Christian does not have the grace (ability-call) of evangelist.
Please know that everything in life requires some kind of training which helps with life’s experiences. Therefore, proper training equals effectiveness.
Lastly, Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever (Daniel 12:3). This has eternal benefits!
