Why Does the Church Need Leaders Called by God 11-4-26
A Church that God established versus someone being the founder of a church on their own without God ordaining it to be.
To keep the church from being out of order: God is not the author- Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it (Psalm 127:1). Maybe some are confused and they thought they heard the voice of the Lord- For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints (1 Corinthians 14:33).
If a man desires to be a bishop (elder, pastor, superintendent) – no reverend: those who use titles don’t understand that in Christianity we are all have ministry gifts to SERVE, not to be served (Romans 12), given by God the Father; given by Jesus the Son (Ephesians 4:11- administration); and given by God the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12) to make good use of by edifying each and God is glorified.
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God (1 Peter 4:10).
There is no elevation when it comes to the words that are used for those in the administrative offices (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Ephesians 4:11), the words are interchangeable. The apostle, prophet, and evangelist go beyond the walls; the two main leaders are the pastor and teacher (bishop, elder, etc.).
To the leaders who may be in the wrong ministry, please ask the Lord to forgive (1 John 1:9) and also ask Him to reveal His purpose is for you in the capacity He called you to. ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ (Jeremiah 33:3). I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye (Psalm 32:8).
It is best to admit that you are track than to get to heaven and lose rewards for not doing what you were called to do.
For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.
If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire (1 Corinthians 3:11-15).
This is not just for leaders only; it is for all the people of God. However, my concentration is on leaders who are the administrators over God’s house (people).
I plead with you to not be as the pharisees. And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.
Being obedient to the call,
