A Change ~ Metamorphosis 8-3-24
This is the second I am sharing about my new life. It is one thing to share scriptures, but it is also a blessing to tell others what goes along with scriptures. That way people can understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ better.
In proclaiming the Gospel, others need to see something different about us. In other words, we must walk the walk as well as talk the talk. We must have answers to whatever questions someone may ask. But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15).
The apostle Paul was not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and and also the Greek (Romans 1:16), and in his writings (letters) it is evident that he shared what he did prior to being born again, and he shared what he was experiencing after he was saved.
This is an example I use when it comes to presenting the Gospel. What it means to be born-again; once the change takes place, salvation is secure and permanent. When a caterpillar turns into a butterfly, it never can be a caterpillar again. So, it is with all born again believers. The reason I used the caterpillar and butterfly is because of this. Satan will do everything he can to make new believers think they can lose their salvation; mainly because they slip and fall into a sin. When the sin is revealed to some people, they feel as though that person has come to altar and get saved all over again.
Remember this; So, Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many (Hebrews 9:28a). If one has to get saved when they fall into sin, this means that what Jesus did was not complete. I read that Jesus said it is finished, which means He took care of all sins; past present and future.
If you are born-again, tell somebody about Jesus, and how He saved your soul. Each person's experience is different, but it’s the same Gospel.
I have had a metamorphosis – irreversible change!
