Some people are color blind!

Before getting to the core of the message, here’s a little history. Jesus was from the line (descendent) of Judah. This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah the son of David [reddish complexion; he was not white]. So, he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. And the LORD said, “Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!” (1 Samuel 16:12).

These are natural features of Jesus Christ. Jesus had to have been a person of color, because his parents were instructed to take Him to Egypt- Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”

When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.” (Matthew 2:13-15).

They had to blend in and look like he was one of them; the Egyptians were dark skinned people. Also, Jesus was exposed to much sun because of the areas He was in most of His life. These are natural features of Jesus Christ. This is why we should know Biblical history.

Some comparisons of skin complexions in the Old Testament – Adam means reddish or ruddy. Adam was formed from the dust of the ground (Genesis 2:7), which is often interpreted as red clay, and God breathed life into him, making him a living being. Esau was born red/ruddy (Genesis 25:25).  Joseph was a man of color- reason being, he was sold to the Midianites and taken to Egypt (Genesis 37:28).

Now to the spiritual attributes of Jesus Christ and the symbolism – He was and Jesus is divine: “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”(Revelation 1:8). He had all power, strength, full authority)

“I watched till thrones were put in place, and the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like pure wool.

His throne was a fiery flame, its wheels a burning fire; a fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened (Daniel 7:9-10).

What Daniel the prophet wrote was figurative of the Judgment Seat of Christ. Notice that the first three chapters of Revelation is pertaining to the church, and leaders. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books (Revelation 20:12).

His head and his hairs were white like wool [spotless and sinless lamb], as white as snow; - ancient of days and his eyes were as a flame of fire- JUDGEMENT; And his feet are like fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. JESUS judges with power and authority!

And he had in his right hand seven stars (represents the church): and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and His countenance was as the sun shineth in His strength (Revelation 1:14-16).

Much of the book of Revelation is symbolism, that’s why it is difficult to understand with to those who are leaning to their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-7).
