Be Cautious of Your Influencers and Their Impact on Your Life 8-21-26

Don’t let anybody sway you from the truth.

In my forty four years of being born again, I have been in eight different churches; all Spirit led. Each church was for a different learning experience that served God’s purpose in my life that would benefit me and others as I grew and began to function progressively in my ministry call.

Mind you, this was not church hopping and running here and there trying to hear a word that would give me an emotional high, although I am a praiser!

This is crucial- No church is perfect and there may be some differences in doctrinal beliefs; it’s important to be where the Spirit of God leads you because God’s purpose will be fulfilled in your lives. There was uproar and chaos in a few of the churches that I was in, but I grew despite the challenges.

Below are a list of criteria that I believe should be for every Christian, even if their theology may be different, it is to your benefit to be a blessing to the specific part of the body of Christ that the Lord has led you to. It may be for you to challenge erroneous doctrine- that’s what I do, especially in my prophetic call. Nevertheless, whatever the reason, there is purpose.

How will you be able to discern what is true and what is error? KEY! Study will increase your knowledge (2 Timothy 2:15). As you grow the more you will know (2 Peter 3:18). THEN you will be able to discern. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (Hebrews 5:14).

1)      What do they believe?

2)      Do they say follow me as I follow Christ or do they want you to follow them (1 Corinthians 11:1)?

3)      Are they advancing the Kingdom of God (Matthew 28:19-20)?

4)      Do they teach God’s principles to help with spiritual growth (1 Peter 2:2)?

5)      Do they believe that the entire Word of God is beneficial (2 Timothy 3:16)?

6)      Do they believe that what started at the beginning of the age is still relevant today? What God started in us He will completed at the coming of Christ (Philippians 1:6)

7)      Do they embrace (accept) all the gifts (Romans 12:6-8)? In 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, 28-31)? What about Ephesians 4:11?

Note- I used to tell people years ago and now also, that if the gifts are not functioning in your church, don’t suppress the Spirit; the Lord will use you whenever and wherever He chooses, including outside the church. When He opens the door for you to minister, no one can stop it.

Brothers and sisters, the flip side of this is consequences that result from the people who are not open to the truth and to have the right (new) mindset. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge (Hosea 4:6a).

Please take what you read into consideration and be open to the truth; once you read this, you are without excuse. In fact, there are no excuses when it comes to God.
