Unforgettable!

We were so deeply shattered by Paul’s sudden passing that it shook the very core of our inner being.

This is a brief summary of a man who left a lengthy and impactful  legacy that will be long remembered. Paul liked to talk; especially about the fire department, his former places of employment, and whatever conversation piece that came up, he had a wealth of knowledge that really perked our interest. Paul was a year round horticulturist, and we were blessed by the variety of greenery that he contributed. He also brought us various kinds of edibles regularly.

Paul helped anybody, even if it jeopardized his own health and well being. He was a very giving person, and a man of integrity. He was a true gentleman when it came to women and we were highly respected by him. Paul had such deep respect for the female managers and he was protective of them in he hung around the center until they locked the doors.

Paul was kindhearted and  always made himself available for whatever the need was. He was a unique man who wore many hats, other than the caps. Paul never met a stranger; he was one in a million. He always said something encouraging to us and our managers; Paul hung around until it was time for the manager to leave because he didn’t want her to be in the building alone.

He named us seniors the “Recycle Teenagers” who kept it moving by the different activates at the center and beyond. One of the seniors favorite was the line dance and guess who was on the floor with his walker line dancing? Paul, of course!. He didn’t let any grass grow under his feet. What an all around man Paul Maurice was!

Paul’s extension of love was appreciated by some of the seniors that he drove to different appointments, his love reached beyond the fire department and the Lindenwold Seniors; he was dedicated to helping children with special needs. Whatever Paul did, he did it with all of his wholehearted might!
