I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for it is the power of salvation for all who believe. To the Jew 1st and to the Greek (Romans 1:16). Today I'd like to share my most recent blessings. Of course I am blessed every day, but God has amazingly showered me such awesome and blessings, during my birthday which was a week ago and on through this week.
The Lord has given me a favor and with the phone company, which was phone free. The only thing I'm paying extra is my insurance. I also have received more cards and monetary blessings this week. This is the testimony that I am sharing. I went to an auto shop to have my oil checked. It was checked a few months ago, and everything was okay.
I was told to come back in a couple of months; I did and the oil needed to be changed. Since there were only a couple vehicles in the workshop, I decided to leave my car there and walked to the grocery store in the same shopping area and it was gone over an hour. I walked back to the auto shop and my vehicle was still parked in the same place.
So, I asked the technician why my truck was still sitting there, and he said they were just getting ready to put it in the workshop. I said oops, too late, I have purchased perishable items. He was apologetic and we discussed making an appointment which would be at eight o’clock the next morning. Upon my arrival there were two other customers who also had an appointment at the same time.
So, I walked back toward the grocery store and sat on a bench, did some work on my phone and after about an hour and a half I walked back to the auto shop. I was told it should take about an hour. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt. When I went back they were working on my truck but I still had to wait a few minutes.
So now they come the lady who was ahead of me; her car was ready. A couple of minutes later, the manager came out to me and said, “Ms. Burnett, I'm going to knock $50 off your oil change.” She told me why. Apparently the technician had told her what had happened the day before, because the manger was there the previous day. She told me I was patient and they just wanted to treat me fairly. My mouth fell wide open and I thanked her and the Lord! I use full synthetic in my truck which costs over $100 to have an oil change. That was truly a blessing to me.
I just want to tell you that the main point of this testimony is, if you treat people right, you never know who God's going to use to bless you. And I just want to thank God most of all. And I'm not ashamed to tell any and everybody that crosses my path about the goodness of God. It is His goodness that leads people to repentance (Romans 2:4).
Yesterday, a friend and I went to the mall, and went to jeweler and we had a wonderful conversation that stemmed from her beautiful silver hair with hair clip back of her head, which had “hope” on it. I asked her if she knew what hope meant to me?
And she's, you know, kind of hesitant and, I said my hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness. And from that the Lord open up the door for us to have a conversation about the Lord. She told me how she prayed for her neighborhood and for other situations daily. And I just knew then that God providentially arranged for us to meet. God orchestrated circumstances for each step that was taken yesterday.
As always, I want to walk in the steps that God has already preordained for me to walk in. Amen! To God be the glory! Thank you for reading this testimony today. I am praying and believing that somebody is going to receive a blessing that will motivate them to tell others about the goodness of God.
