Distinguishing the two extremes.

Outer Darkness - And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 8:12). And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 25:30).

Fiery Furnace - Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 13:40-42).

There will be a temporary anguish of weeping and gritting the teeth in heaven, because God will wipe all tears away. People won’t go through eternity with that kind of sorrow of not doing what they were called to do. However, they will not have the rewards that determine their rulership in the eternal kingdom.

But when hell is cast into the lake of fire, there will be eternal torment. The more one sins, the greater the torment, just as the way one does what he or she is told to do, greater the rewards.

Example of the faithful people being closer to Jesus in eternity. Wedding- when there is a wedding the people who are the closest to the bride and groom are the maid of honor and best man, and others who are close to the couple are also part of the wedding party.

The family sits the closest to the front and there is more light because of the candelabra being lit. Then there are those who attend the wedding sit further back and the lighting becomes dimmer. In other words, it is more dismal (darker),In the eternal realm that is similar to outer darkness.

Less or no rewards; less or no rulership. Yet we will all be with Jesus forever. My challenge to you dearly beloved brothers and sisters, how much does Jesus mean to you? Do you want to face Him and be sorry for not fulfilling the call God has on your life?
