For the Saved- Are You Doing What Jesus Told You to Do? 9-14-26

Walk in  obedience and you will be abundantly blessed.

These are some scriptures to bring to the readers awareness, as to what is required of those who have a relationship with Christ.

Enter (you enter- go) by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.  Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it (Matthew 7:13-14).

Then the Lord said to Noah, Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation (Genesis 7:1).

Enter and come (action words) involve moving toward something or a place. For instance, Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). For we who have believed do enter that rest (Hebrews 4:3a).

Let’s get to the point! Are you traveling through the narrow gate or are you the broad way. The difference between the two. The Narrow Gate represents the Christians who are sold out, the uncompromising ones, the ones who stand for something and they don’t fall for anything. The are fully committed to Christ.

The Broad way means carnal Christians who compromise and act like unsaved people.

Paul wrote to them:  And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.  I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able;  for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?  (1 Corinthians 3:1-3). The church is full of carnal Christians.

Remember this Paul wrote under guidance inspiration of the Holy Spirit; I am writing what he wrote.

They suffer loss because the glamour of the world is their focus rather keeping their eyes on Jesus.  looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2).

Which one of the two are you?

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow (action word) Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.  I and My Father are one (John 10:27-30).

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me (Revelation 3:20). In this particular verse John was instructed by Jesus to write to the seven churches of which there were problems in most of them. He concluded with: Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me (Revelation 3:20).

Jesus wanted the fellowship to be restored with them so their relationship would not be damaged.

To those of you whom I once had sweet fellowship with and you jumped ship, please get back on board. I love you and want to see you in fellowship with Jesus again.

One of Paul’s fellow laborers I  the ministry left him and went back to doing worldly things. For Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world (1 Timothy 4:10a)
