Church a Social Club 9-4-26

Jesus taught principles throughout the Gospels that still is our guidelines today.
Some people including me have called the church a social club for years because there is more entertainment than teaching the people of God about walking in holiness; one of my prayer partners prayed about this a couple of days ago. I feel the Holy Spirit used her to encourage me to continue with this short series about compromising church.
Writing about homosexuality was a tough one for me; however, I am going do my best to obey God and remember what Charles Stanley’s said: “Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him”
Here are some things that entertainment in some churches- emotion hyped up with a good song of praise. But true praise is not about emotions. Hyped up on a sermon; after the hype, nothing is digested.
The bracelet was worn years ago WWJD – (What Would Jesus Do), and if all Christians would keep in mind what Jesus would do, perhaps they would be more convinced to walk in holiness (conduct themselves in a godly manner).
In reading the Word of God did you see anything about His emotions getting out of control? Although Jesus was one hundred percent God, He also was one hundred percent man. He had emotions just as we do. For instance, Jesus wept over the death of His friend Lazarus (John 11:35).
I’m taking it a step further; what would you do if Jesus was physically on this earth and you could literally see Him? Would you fornicate in front of Jesus, would you have sex with a person that was the same sex?
Would you preach to hype the people? Would you rob the congregation and others by manipulating them to give more money? Would you want people to put you on a pedestal? Would you wear robes and collars to indicate that you are more important than others?
The Word of God says God highly exalted Jesus ands gave Him a name that is above every name. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name, which is above every name (Philippians 2:5-9).
Jesus is the only One who became Lord because He humbly did His Fathers’ will. No other human being can even be compared to what our Savior did. Brothers and sisters, consider these questions and more that are not named. What would you do if Jesus was physically walking with you?
Well, FYI- He is with you every day. Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. (Matthew 28:20).
The Spirit of Christ lives in you. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His (Romans 8:9).
What would Jesus do if He was physically on this earth? He would live a sinless life for us to model. Since Jesus is always with you, what will you do, or what are you doing?
