This message is not to judge anyone, because God only knows the heart of every person. However, the Word tells us that we should be mature enough in their walk to discern good and evil. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil (Hebrews 5:14).
Many churches are not teaching principles for people to grow up in their walk with the Lord. Many leaders are preaching to hype up peoples’ emotions for self-gain.
With the progression of evil going on in the world, we need to be aware of what time it is. There is no new thing under the sun; only it gets worse as time gets closer to Jesus’ return.
The demonic activity is steady on thee rise and is invading the household of faith. Some preachers are not coming forth with the unadulterated truth; instead, they are causing the church to commit spiritual fornication (whoring after other gods).
Why are these leaders doing this? The answer is in the Word: But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (2 Timothy 3:1-5).
It has been said to chew the meat and spit out the bone, if the Word is not taught properly, that is like spoil or rotten meat that will make one sick. It’s the same with feeding them dessert; all that sugar will take them on a high and the next thing you know is that the sugar dropped and caused serious problems.
Plus, there is no nutritional value to eating dessert; they are empty calories. The same is with the Word, if people are not being taught properly, there is no spiritual value.
Going back to 2 Timothy 3:1-5, my concentration is going to be on a couple of words that fits some of these fleshy people:
Men will be lovers of themselves, worshipping their bodies. And lovers of money$$$$. How in the world does these leaders become millionaires, and from whom did they get all that money? Where is the money going when the person dies? Why do they have big houses and high end cars when their congregation is living in poverty? They are selfish, out of control, and taking advantage of ignorant people.
The root of all evil is the love of money$$$$; some of them are so in love with themselves and money until they are untouchable. Why does a Christian leader need a bodyguard? To make himself look big or more important than others. What about Christ, He came to serve, not to be served (Mark 10:45).
Who are we supposed to be modeling? I am not saying that Christians should not live well, according to the Word of God, some of them are way beyond living well. They are living a lavish lifestyle; in luxury. Didn’t God tell His people who are rich in this world to help others?
Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows (1 Timothy 6:6-10).
Jesus became poor so that we could be rich SPIRITUALLY! For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9).
These people are not imitating Jesus; they are imitating the world!
