A Spirit Led Life is Rewarding!
Yesterday a message was posted about a sister/friend/minister who has impacted my life that motivated me to continue pressing forward toward the mark of the high call of Jesus Christ. From that story it was impressed upon me to provide those times when a few others had encouraged me to move forward.
Nevertheless, even though some of them meant well and saw something greater in me, it was not in God’s will. After I was baptized with the Holy Spirit around 1986, some gifts were quite prevalent; the Spirit would reveal certain things to me and being very young and immature as to what was happening, I shared it with others.
It would always be with someone who had some help aids in books that they gave to me; from that my volume of books were increased. Looking back, this had to do with deliverance ministry of evangelist and prophetess.
I was blessed with a prophetess mentor, and after a few years I relocated to Camden. But every time there was a trip to North Carolina, the two of us would fellowship. She suggested that I would attend a prophetic conference in New York; reservations were made and the money was paid. But, the Lord had a prophet in Camden to tell me that I was not supposed to go to the conference. I took his advice and all of the money was returned to me. God did it!
Later the person heading the conference was exposed as a false prophet.
Another person suggested that I would go to a school of demonology in Tennessee. This was to get further training into dealing with demons. It was obvious that she recognized my call as evangelist who operates in signs and wonders- deliverance ministry. That’s why the Lord gave me the theme for the ministry: “Setting the Captives Free” This person meant well, but again, that was not God’s will for me.
It is evidenced and has been confirmed numerous times that the person the Lord placed in my life would help to train and develop me through His Word. It may not be necessary for every Christian to go to seminary, even if it’s because of the person being a leader. My teacher received illumination from the Holy Spirit, and many people, even some pastors, were amazed at his knowledge and understanding.
Nothing wrong with furthering your training through seminary, but only if the Lord says so.
Paul did not go to seminary; he received special training from Jesus Christ for three years in the desert of Arabia (Galatians 1:10-19).
Everybody is not called to get a formal education; some trade school and so on. God has ordained and graced each of His children for their specific assignment. Whatever the Lord’s purpose is for us, we should reach our destiny.
Seminary- a college that trains students to be priests, rabbis, or ministers. You can say that Paul went to seminary (private school) with Jesus being his personal Tutor (Galatians 1:10-19). The Lord blessed me with a personal tutor, Albert Burke, for thirty three years. And from then on, I was given enough training to continue fulfilling God’s purpose in my life.
