I hear many people saying they do not want to be cremated. With the cost of living being so high these days, monies are tight. It is different if people have insurance to pay almost ten thousand dollars for a funeral service and burial. I have heard some people say they don’t want their bodies to burn.

This is not about encouraging anyone to be cremated; it’s about knowing the truth when it comes to the body and its significance. They (our bodies) are particularly important for us to live on this earth. In fact, we could not live in a natural environment without a body. However, the body is not the most important part of our three parts, which is the spirit, soul, and body (tripartite).
When people say the dead know nothing, I gather that they mean the dead body, because the spirit and soul have awareness. For instance, when Lazarus, the beggar died, his spirit and soul were with Abraham, who was in paradise (Luke 16:19-31). His body physically dead, it knew nothing! Yet he was able to talk. When someone dies, their spirit and soul are separated from their body.
My friends, please don’t worry about what will happen to the body, it is useless without the spirit and the soul.

When it comes to cremation, the body becomes ashes (dust). Remember what the Word of God says about the body, from dust you came and dust you will return (Genesis 3:19). We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).
Furthermore, my body is not the most important thing to me, because we will get new bodies. Hallelujah; Glory to God!!
I am waiting with expectation for Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior to take me to my new home with my new body.
