Which Automobile fits your life?

I went to two cars that were a couple of weeks apart from each other, the first one was in Atco, New Jersey and yesterday the car show was in Lindenwold. One of the main cars that stood out was at both car shows, and it advertising (witnessing about Christ).

I looked at the car yesterday, had a conversation with owner and walked away. Then I was prompted to go back and asked him if could I take some pictures and post a message on social media, He agreed.

All of the cars were numbered to be judged and of course my friend and I quickly decided  that this particular car would be our number one pick.  She loved the Volkswagen Beetle because she owned one at some point. Yet my friend was more impressed with the one advertising Christ.

I was looking for my mustangs, a sixty-six and a red Mach One; saw nothing to my liking. We left, stopped by my place and headed to Cherry Hill for a “Juneteenth” event, which was great!

Once at home and settled in, the next thing was to write a message for today. I had already written a message that was to be posted on today (Sunday). I sat at the computer and this is what came to me; an old song by the Dixie Hummingbirds that the late Deacon Charles Middleton used to sing resonated with me.

The song compares the life of a Christian to an automobile.

The song:

Oh, you know that every child of God is running for Jesus just like an automobile. You know prayer is your driver's license, faith is your steering wheel. When you get on the road to glory Satan is gonna try to flag you down but keep on driving if you want your starry crown.

You gotta check on your tires you got a rough road ahead and when you are weary from your journey God will put you to bed. You gotta check on your brakes and stop your wicked ways, a man is born of a woman it's only of a few days. You've gotta check on your lights and see your own faults…… [left that part out].

You gotta check on your generator, you need more strength and power. You can't do nothing without the man [Christ]You need him every hour. Christians oh, Christians, press on your starters and start your automobile, put it in first gear, and go on up the hill.

Drive on, children if I never see you no more, I'll meet you when I pull in on the other shore [get to heaven].And I'm not worried about my parking space, I just want to see my Saviour face to face.

Notice that each automobile is different and they are unique but they are on this earth to fulfill God’s purpose. What are you doing to fulfill God’s purpose in your life? Think about it, consider the words from this song to evaluate your lives.
