We had a REAL good Time!
I am so grateful to all the benefits that are offered our apartment complex. These amenities come through the state, county, and the borough where I reside.
We were so blessed by the mayor’s presence, some council members and the Delta’s who went over and beyond to serve us a delicious lunch prepared those fantastic cooks. I could never forget the manager and social coordinator who planned this successful event.
The menu consisted of sausages, meatballs, fried chicken, coleslaw, potato salad, mac and cheese, rice, baked beans, string beans, toss salad, cornbread, tea, sodas and water, apple pie, cup cakes, sweet potato pie, cake. Even though the place was full, there was plenty of food for everyone and left overs to go.
It was amazing to see them in action; they were so organized. The ladies showed up in big numbers; they were prepared and worked methodically as if they had some special training.
We had about a half hour craft session built up our interest and it was fun making “Juneteenth” door pieces.
The event was a tremendous blessing to all who attended. Thanks to all who served us in whatever capacity; you served us well!
God bless as you continue to serve.
