The New Look

Yesterday, a couple of us took the Speedline to Philly to check out the new bus terminal. My friend and I are overjoyed that the bus station is open again, which makes it convenient for us to travel to New York. The bus station had been closed for a couple of years; this is where I usually take the bus to New York.

From there our next stop was at the packed Reading Terminal Market to browse and have lunch. I was somewhat turned around because of the new look inside the market. Much has changed for the better due to this year celebrating the two hundred and fiftieth celebration of our country which started in Philadelphia, the “City of Brotherly Love”

Even though it was lunch time at the market and very crowded, we were blessed to get seats at an eatery. Fish was what we had in mind, but the original fish place was not there anymore or it could have changed because of the renovation and with the place being larger everything looked different.

Anyway, we did not know what kind of food they served, but we were hungry and just wanted to eat. So, we sat down at the café because it so happened that there was enough stools for us; blessing number one; on the menu was Cajun food and guess what was on the list? Catfish! That was blessing number two, praise the Lord!

And to top it off, the food was scrumptious, you would have thought that we were in New Orleans. What a meal! Three blessings!

For my friends and family who do not live in the area, if you travel here, especially during the 250th Anniversary of our country, Reading Terminal is one of the places I recommend. You will find almost anything under one roof. The fresh meats and sweets are incredible!

Enjoy your day; I certainly plan to.
