BIBLICAL Facts - Not Opinions! My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge because you have rejected knowledge (Hosea 4:6)

I hear people who say they are saved used the work “Luck/Lucky” on a regular basis. Since the beginning of my walk with Christ I don’t remember luck being in my vocabulary.  Luck is defined as -success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one's own actions. Chance: to have good or bad luck.

God is not a God of luck; He is not unpredictable since He knows everything - I returned and saw under the sun that—Everything on earth is predictable.

Example: when the meteorologists give the weather report, it is a prediction. It is known that their prediction is not always accurate.

When Christians look from a spiritual perspective (sees through spiritual lens, they know that anything a chance is be taken has nothing to do with God. When Solomon wrote I returned and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all (Ecclesiastes 9:11).

Do you say that you got lucky and  God caused you to win the lottery? No, of course not! The chance was taken because of greed and because “You got lucky and won the lottery” God had nothing to do with it. You don’t trust God, like Solomon, you were looking at things from your perspective and then say God blessed you to win the lottery.

That is lying on God! KJV Keyword Study Bible footnotes-

Except: There is much in the world that is changing, and Solomon is trusting in things he thinks have provided him with security. What he discovered is there is One who keeps the world in order-that is God.

Why do you think Solomon authored the book of Proverbs (wise saying). Thus, Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt (1 Kings 4:30), but because Solomon started doing things his way rather than God’s way, he got caught up with worldly things and worldly people (1 Kings 11:9). But after all those negative experiences, he learned that everything was vanity (empty) without God being in it.

Ps. FYI – I was asked by someone recently about a trip to Atlantic City; many people frequent the casinos to gamble. I told the person how I loved going to Atlantic City, but I don’t gamble. There are many attractions other than the casinos. I also told her that I don’t waste God’s money; I choose to be a good steward (manage) over what the Lord has entrusted to me; that's God’s money.

She said “You have a point, but I like to gamble” I said the door opened for me to tell and I took advantage of the opportunity; I was not trying to force you to change your way, but a seed was planted and you are responsible for what you heard. She agreed. It’s the same with what the Spirit prompts me to write, once the person has read the message, they are responsible for what they read.

I want to take this a step further; this is not only about gambling although that is how that phrase is used many times. I hear people in every part of ministry using the word “Luck” for different reasons, including some preachers. It is sad to hear this come from these people’s mouths; It also shows a lack of maturity; yet these same people give the air of being spiritual. What comes out of the mouth is what the person really is.

You are lucky- Really? I am blessed, because I didn’t get one thing by chance- My blessings, not luck come from the Lord. He or she lucked up- Maybe he or she did, but one thing for sure, it was not from the Lord. I got lucky- You got lucky because you took an unpredictable chance.

I am blessed because my Father is not unpredictable because He knows everything and my life has already been planned out to receive abundantly blessings because of my trust Him to take care of me (Philippians 4:19), and to it even further when I delight myself also in Him, He gives me the desires of my heart because the desires line up with His will (Psalm 37:4).

I pray that you will stop using thee word “LUCK,” it has nothing to do with God- If you to continue using the word luck, how do you think God feels?
