Do You Know What Time It Is?
Sin is increasingly on the rise which should cause the church to really be about our Father’s business. It is immanent that Jesus will be returning soon. This is what Jesus told the disciples: And Jesus answered and said to them:
“Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows (Matthew 24:4-8).
Some say we are living in the book of Revelation, but the Word tells us that we are only in the first three chapters. Jesus had John to write to the seven churches which in includes churches of all times. Jesus told John to write to the seven churches, which includes the church today; some were commended for their good deeds, whereas some were not. Some started off right, but they left their first love (Revelation, chapters 1-3).
Jesus was telling John that it was time to get right with God by returning to their first love it reminds me of an old that went like this:
“Get right with God and do it now, get right with God, He will show you how.”
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Revelation 3:13).
After John finished writing to the church to get right with God, we are taken from the earth. Although we do not know the day or the hour when Jesus will return (Matthew 24:36), He wants us to be ready and not be ashamed when He appears (1 John 2:28). After John finished writing to the church to get right with God, we are taken from the earth.
Jesus is coming and it won’t be long: But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
The Tribulation: “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come (Matthew 24:9-14).
Do you know what time it is? It is time to get right with God; listen to what the Spirit is saying to the church.
