Two hundred and forty eight years ago.
The 4th of July, also called Independence Day, marks the historic date in 1776 when the Continental Congress formally adopted the Declaration of Independence, which had been written largely by Jefferson123. The written declaration stated that the American colonies were tired of being ruled by Great Britain and wanted to become their own country2. Though the vote for actual independence took place on July 2nd, from then on the 4th became the day that was celebrated as the birth of American independence1.
As we celebrate the 4TH of July let us not forget about the most important and greatest
Freedom that anyone can experience; which is the Freedom in Christ.
Enjoy your freedom!
