When I think about the goodness of God and all He’s done for me, my soul cries out “Hallelujah” I thank God for saving me. Salvation is the greatest thing that could have happened to me.
A week ago, I wrote about “Acknowledging the Great Sovereign Lord God Almighty” . This message was about trusting in the Lord with all our hearts and not leaning to our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). I also wrote how that scripture is quoted by many people, but that is different than actually believing, truly trust Father God, and acknowledging Him for who really is.
The only way the Lord can direct our path is we must acknowledge that He is Sovereign and He does what He wants to do, when He wants to do whatever, and how He chooses to do. Believing that without a doubt by saying that regardless of certain things that go on in our lives that can be painful, and even when we don’t understand, we trust that our Sovereign God will never do anything in our lives unless it is for our benefit.
Example: When we question why someone is in our lives or when a relationship is not good. God allows those things to happen to help build our character and we become more intimate with “Abba” Father. We tend to look at the wrong in the other person, not realizing that God is perfecting something our own lives; strengthening us for greater ministry. No pain, no gain!
The reason I went that way was to let you know about my experience and when I learned to trust Him with all my heart things started to change. I began to see the Lord move in ways that were absolutely amazing. The more I experienced the mighty acts of the more my faith increased.
After listening to the voice of the Spirit, and obeying Him, the back pain and sciatica were not there. This week I am completely back to normal after taking it easy for a few days after the pain was gone. I went to church last Sunday, rode with my friend to see her brother in another town; started my daily routine of walking; went shopping, visited someone and went to a funeral Thursday. A friend’s brother passed and I wanted to show her some love, so our other and I wanted to support her and the family.
From the funeral, we went to another part of the city to check on someone I had not seen or heard from and found out she and her family are doing well, praises to the Lord! We left there and headed to a thrift store; from to Cherry Hill trying to find an Asian meat market. It was discovered later that I missed the meat market, because I was on Route 70 instead of Route 38; it didn’t matter. Being able to get out and enjoy the ride and driving which I love to do.
You can see that by me trusting in the Lord, I was totally restored back to normal; healed by Jesus’ stripes (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24).
Because of my faith in God – I also speak life over my situation regularly and it works because God’s Word is true.
When John wrote to Gaius an elder, he penned it like this: The Elder, the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth (3 John 1-4).
What does John mean? All of God’s Word is to benefit us; it is our guide, compass, roadmap, navigator, and it alone will lead us into all truths. I am saying that to bring out this point; what John said to Gaius is also for us. He writes about prospering (spiritual first- Matthew 6:33). Seeking God first rather than seeking things, and everything else comes. That's the "Prosperity Gospel" which is spiritual!
When we understand the Word and stand on it by faith, good health is ours. This works for me, because: For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us (2 Corinthians 1:20). Why don’t you try it? Walking in my blessings!
