Healthy, Wealthy and Wise!

Updated: Apr 20

Excited!

I get excited about sharing what the Lord is doing in my spiritual and physical life.  Physical – eating the proper foods and exercising;  Spiritual - maturing in the Word of God.

Physically, I am doing absolutely wonderful; although there are some minor issues going on in my body. I speak life words over my body (Psalm 18:21) regularly as well as believing Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24- By Jesus’ stripes I am healed.

I also put some action to it, because faith without works is dead (James 2:26). I am on a simple sugar – low glycemic index diet that diabetics use; although I am not a diabetic. I am feeling so much better, and to me my quality of life is much better.

I have been known to be an avid walker for years, and it still is an essential part of my life; eating properly and physical exercise go hand in hand.

What about spiritual growth? Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers (3 John 2). This means to be in a vibrant spiritual state (I am constantly in His  Word, and full of enthusiasm)- studying the Word of God and learning His principles (2 Timothy 2:15).

Just as our diets and physical exercise go hand in hand, so is our spiritual exercise incorporated with the other two. The Word of God is full of wealth. The combination is healthy, wealthy and wise.

Don’t you think I’m doing surprisingly good for someone in her “Silver Years?”

Approximately three weeks ago, a script was written for me to get a bone scan because a situation surfaced that caused me to have some serious joint pain. I have no problems with anyone in the medical field because God uses them, and many of them have helped me tremendously over the years. Yet, when this test was recommended, I did not feel good about it.

Have you ever got this gut feeling that something was not right? Well, that was me.

This feeling proved to be to my advantage, especially after seeking the Lord for guidance, and He gave me the answer which was confirmed through my surgeon; she was not the doctor who wrote the script. The night prior to my appointment with the surgeon, I asked the Lord to give me favor with the surgeon and speak through her.

Mind you, I never mentioned the script about the bone scan to the surgeon. Once I told her about the joint pains, she showed me how to do exercises that I can use to alleviate the pain, and I praise the Lord God Almighty for using the surgeon, it works!

Somebody has been in a similar situation that I was in. This is a word for you. Before moving forward with any decision in your life, seek God and His Spirit will give you the answer. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth (John 16:13a).

Bottom line is this, everything that is suggested or recommended, may not be for your specific situation, so call on the Lord and He will answer and show you great and mighty things you do not know (Jeremiah 33:3).

Just a little advice to encourage the readers!

Grace and Peace
