I am changing my message from African American History to the history of my favorite sports team. The reason why is because they are playing in the Superbowl tomorrow, and I certainly hope they win.
History from the Internet-
The Philadelphia Eagles were founded in 1933 when the remains of the defunct Frankford Yellow Jackets franchise was sold to a syndicate of Philadelphia-based businessmen. The franchise was established as a replacement for the bankrupt Frankford Yellow Jackets when a group led by Bert Bell secured the rights to an NFL franchise in Philadelphia. Bert Bell founded the Philadelphia Eagles by buying the Frankfurt Yellow Jackets out of bankruptcy. In their early years, the team sported a simple and unadorned uniform with blue and yellow as the primary colors
The Philadelphia Eagles got their name when Bert Bell and Lud Wray bought the bankrupt Frankford Yellowjackets in 1933 and decided to rename the team. Inspired by the National Recovery Act's "Blue Eagle" symbol, they chose the name "Eagles" as a nod to the emblem. The team has carried this name since then.
The eagle is a symbol of power, protection, vigilance, pride, strength, freedom, bravery, wisdom, spirituality, determination, resilience, courage, independence, hope, and perseverance. It is revered as a majestic bird that soars above its habitat with keen eyes, sharp talons, and powerful wings.

The spiritual symbolism of the eagle encompasses several powerful meanings:
There is no doubt that the Eagles have soared this season despite setbacks.
The Eagles regained their strength courageously!
I believe they had to looking at the bigger picture to get to where they are today.
Divine Connection: In many cultures, eagles are viewed as intermediaries between the physical and spiritual realms, representing divine protection and guidance. It is known that some of the Eagles’ have a Divine connection.
Transformation and Rebirth: Eagles also symbolize transformation, embodying the idea of rising above and embracing change.
The Divine connection came through new birth, of course. Some confess that they have a relationship with Jesu Christ.
I am definitely rooting for my favorite team the E A G L E S!
