JESUS CHRIST- KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS
Who is the King of Glory (Psalm 24:1). Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in (Psalm 24:7).
Let the ongoing of an intimate relationship be with God our Father. Is Father God really your Abba (Papa or Daddy)? Suppose the Lord did those like they did and do Him? For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together (Romans 8:15-17), and because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” (Galatians 4:6).
Who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” (Hebrews 8:5)
Offerings for Building the Temple
Furthermore, King David said to all the assembly, after he had prepared the house of the Lord ……. “Who then is willing to consecrate himself this day to the Lord?” Then the leaders of the fathers’ houses, leaders of the tribes of Israel, the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the officers over the king’s work, offered willingly.
They gave for the work of the house of God five thousand talents and ten thousand darics of gold, ten thousand talents of silver, eighteen thousand talents of bronze, and one hundred thousand talents of iron. And whoever had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the Lord, into the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.
Then the people rejoiced, for they had offered willingly, because with a loyal heart they had offered willingly to the Lord; and King David also rejoiced greatly (1 Chronicles 29).
David’s Praise to God
Therefore, David blessed the Lord before all the assembly; and David said:
“Blessed are You, Lord God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all.
Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; in Your hand it is to make great, and to give strength to all. “Now therefore, our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name.
But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from You, and of Your own we have given You. For we are aliens and pilgrims before You as were all our fathers; our days on earth are as a shadow, and without hope.
God promised David that he and his line would be "king forever." We know that even though David died, like all men die, that through his line, Jesus Christ will establish an eternal kingdom. And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever (2 Samuel 7:16).
Jesus ancestry line- Matthew 1:1-16, Luke 3:23-38, Isaiah 11:1 and Jeremiah 23:5.
“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”(Revelation 22:16)
And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh (Matthew 2:11).
That was foreshadowing Jesus’s reign as KING. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS (Revelation 19:16).
Voluntary giving to the Lord must be with the right attitude – Luke 6:38, 2 Corinthians 9:6-12 (these verses were in yesterday’s message).
