How to Give an Answer to Those Who Have No Hope (Part One) 6-15-2026

Being effective in witnessing and ministering.

I was tidying up my truck and someone came up and stated a conversation  with me. He began to talk about people going along with those who make wrong decisions. I shared that we are living in a dark and evil world but Jesus brought light when everything was dark (John 1). I told him that Christians are to be lights in the midst of this evil society.

He said you are a minister right. I answered and told him yes. Then the person asked me if I had heard of a certain minister, and the answer was yes. He told me that the minister said according to the Bible women are not ministers.

This was my answer according to the Word of God all of His people have a ministry: For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. 

For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,  so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.  Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;  or ministry, let us use it in our ministering  (Romans 12: 1-7).

Although each ministry is different (not the same position) one is no better than the other. When that is fully understood, people will stop putting certain leaders on a pedestal.

Reading the Word out of context is confusing. Instead of isolating or singling out a scripture, people should know the whole of the matter. If one can rightly divide (according to God’s truth), they can also wrongly divide by not searching the scriptures that connect, relate, and support other verses.

The person went on to say that The Bible is not facts; he said Webster’s dictionary is facts. I told him the Bible is the only true facts, because  everything started with God; men wrote the Bible as they were led by the Spirit of God. Yet there are human errors because no one is perfect. Let God be true and EVERY man a liar (Romans 3:4).

I started telling him how I loved Jesus and didn’t care who knows it, and you have seen me walk in the light; and show others the way.  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek (Romans 1:16).

During our conversation, he would say “What you said make sense, BUT!” When I got tired of the BUTs, I said;

“This conversation is over, it is not personal and we can still be friendly with each other.”

This reminded me of the conversation between Paul and King Agrippa. Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian (Acts 26:28).

What to take away: Let God set it up; orchestrate circumstances! For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say (Luke 12:12). This will come up again in the next message. Depend on the Holy Spirit.
