Two Fish and Five Loaves of Bread 8-21-24
I don’t know why so many people complain about this, that and the other. They talk about the economy, what the government is not doing to help the lower class people and so on. I always take the opportunity to tell people what the Word of God says.
He owns everything – the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein (Psalm 24:1). For every beast of the forest is mine, And the cattle upon a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10).
King David said:
The Lord took care of the children of Israel when they ere in the wilderness for forty years (Exodus, chapter 16).Your garments did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years (Deuteronomy 8:4). Even when they were disobedient, the Lord still blessed them.
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
As for me, I have no doubt that because I obey the Lord by giving my tithes and offerings, there is an overflow. God has proved Himself to me over, and over again. Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, in what way have we robbed You? In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation.
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field (Malachi 3:8-11).
In other words, the Lord will not the enemy to destroy what He has blessed us with.
Please stop saying tithing is not for today. The principle of tithing never changes. In fact, we honor King Jesus with our monies.
Jesus – two fishes and five loaves of bread - Then Jesus said, make the people sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So, the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted.
So, when they were filled, He said to His disciples, gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost. Therefore, they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world (John 6:10-14).
That was an overflow for real! Tell me, isn’t God the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). I am receiving my blessings!
