Ungodly Leaders -The Apostate Church
While watching Christian TV yesterday, two ministers were exposing several other people who are in ministry and how they have moved away from the truth of God’s Word. One minister was not familiar; however, the other teacher is one I have followed for many years and he holds more truth to the doctrine of Christ than many others I have listened to.
Also, a few weeks ago, I watched a few others who were exposing certain people in the ministry. From this, I truly believe the Spirit is speaking to the church – He that has an ear (Revelation 2:7a). These leaders gave many scriptures to confirm what they were conveying; in addition to what I already had, praise God!
Brothers and sisters, it is high time for us to discern what is good and evil, and not embrace these peoples’ teaching unless what is said lines up with the Word of God. Many of these leaders are teaching the prosperity Gospel, and they use scriptures erroneously. I was caught up in the prosperity gospel in the late 1980’s and the 1990’s.
I believe the Lord allowed me to experience different denominational doctrines, so I could learn the difference and to be able to distinguish what was truth and what was error.
The last message was “The Root of Ungodly Leaders” from the Old Testament. Today, I will start sharing about the church age and how so many of God’s people have strayed, veered from, or fallen away from God’s Word. One minister was not familiar; however, the other teacher is one I have followed for many years and he holds truth to the doctrine of Christ than may others to which I have listened.
Over the last thirty years, or more, the church has been on a downward spiral; that is not to say that the church had no problems prior to those years. The devil (demonic spirits) have always targeted the people of God. Do you think those evil spirits are going to stop now? No way! According to the Word of God, things will get worse (Matthew 24:5-8).
The sad part is, God’s people fall the tricks and deceit of the devil who influences these leaders. It stems from the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life (1 John 2:16).
They use spiritual manipulation; they play on peoples’ emotions. Most of the time what they prophesy to people does not come true, but some people continue to follow their teaching, because they believe that eventually that false prophecy will come true.
These types of people are ignorant of the Word, and they are seeking for pie in the sky, instead of trusting God to supply their every need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
For every situation that is used, there will be a scripture to back it up, rightly divided (2 Timothy 2:15).
Please read the messages and don’t let these people deceive you, and you won’t have any regrets when you stand before Christ. Look to Jesus , and run your race well.
