A Joyous Celebration of Forty-Two Years
For several years I have been posting messages about my spiritual birthday, and it gives me so much Joy to celebrate each year. However, the longer I live the greater the Joy is because the Lord has allowed my golden years to roll on for His purpose and for His glory.
This is my forty-second year of having a relationship with Jesus Christ! Praise the Lord! They have forty-two blessed years; some days were better than others, yet I don’t consider them bad days. It was through God’s grace that I made it this far, and I am thankful.
Since that Monday morning, March 15, 1982, the Lord has blessed me to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with whomever and wherever He sends me. The Lord also blessed me to be licensed and ordained into ministry. As time progressed, I was blessed with Burnett Ministries. I am excited about the great things the Lord has done, what He is doing and what He is going through me and the ministry.
As with all of God’s children the Christian walk is not easy, but it is worth it, especially when we understand this: For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us Romans 8:18). And to live godly, we will suffer: Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution (1 Timothy 3:12).
An old song goes like this: “Through hard trials and tribulations, I made it over.” There were those valley days and mountainous days, but thank God I am still here, because my race is not finished. I am still fighting the good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6:12), and when my time is up I believe the will say, “well done, good and faithful servant”(Matthew 25:21, 23).
I am requesting continued prayers for me to move forward in ministry, and for my health, good success (Joshua 1:8-9) and prosperity as my souls prospers (3 John, verse 1).
