Wow! What an awesome Thanksgiving Day it was. I saw so much LOVE in action and it blessed me tremendously.
Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you (Matthew 7:12a). A church blessed every tenant where I live, who signed up for a meal. What a blessing indeed!
One of my nieces put so much love into the way she prepared the Thanksgiving meal. She sacrificed her time and effort to passionately serve some of the family. Listen y’all, I sent my niece a recipe for collards and she cooked it for the first time to perfection. Her mac and cheese was so good, it was difficult for me to restrain myself. I took some yams, turkey, stuffing, and gravy home.
The menu was ham, turkey, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, stuffing, gravy, stuffed eggs, cornbread, apple pie and ice cream.
I had planned to be with my family, but I also desired to be a blessing, and it happened. It makes me feel so good when I see others being blessed. Most of all, when others show their appreciation, it is a greater blessing.
Well, I experienced it all yesterday; the blessing and the greater blessing. I pray that "Love in action" not only happens on Thanksgiving, but our hearts should be open at any given time to serve someone else. We have been called to serve. Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:28).
The phrase "called to serve" is a biblical concept that emphasizes the importance of serving others selflessly. It is based on the idea that true greatness comes from serving and putting others first, as exemplified by the Son of Man who came to serve and give His life for others.
Agape Love is unconditional; therefore, it would take a humble person to fulfill the role to serve.
LOVE is Action!
