Many Different People, but One GOD!

Different Nations United! 7-29-24

Yesterday was such a blessing in fellowshipping with many saints from different parts of the world. It was approximately twenty nationalities that assembled at Abundant Life Fellowship church. Their sister church in Philadelphia were there for the annual International Day of fellowship.

It was such an amazing experience to be among people of different ethics and cultural backgrounds to assemble in one accord. This reminds me of what David said: Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1)- There was a spirit of unity indeed!

The service included praise songs and dance; words of exhortation, the sermon, and the church united in prayer for the persecuted saints. There was more - a fellowship meal, and other ways the people of all ages were being edified.

What really put the icing on the cake was how nicely the members treated the guests. That would make anybody want to come back. I was a stranger sitting with the members during the fellowship meal, and what a fellowship it was! They made sure I didn’t feel left out, praise the Lord!

Since our citizenship is in heaven, why don’t we act like it on earth For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also Since our citizenship is in heaven, why don’t we act like it on earth For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself (Philippians 3:20-21).

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands (Revelation 7:9).

We are going to live eternally with Jesus and all the other saints, where we will experience the greatest unity of all. So why not live in unity with each other down here on this earth?

Quite thought provoking, huh?
