We’re Living in Perilous Times
· It is true that as time moves forward things will get progressively worse - the days are evil. That is the reason the children of God should not shaken, taken aback, or overwhelmed, because it is written in the Word of God.
Many people are taking the warning signs lightly, even though the Bible is fulfilling. It is so plain to see that the Word of God is true. One of the prophecies that seem to be worse is, many of those who profess to be God’s people are caught up in all the worldly drama.
But the Word of God speaks of that too.
Now, brothers, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition (2 Thessalonians 2:1-3). The man of sin, son of perdition is referring to the anti-christ.
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth (1 Timothy 4:1-3).
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (2 Timothy 3:1-5).
This scripture came straight out of the mouth of Jesus.
The disciples asked Jesus: And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?And Jesus answered and said to them: Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows (Matthew 24:3b-8).
After reading these four scriptures, it is evident that the Word of God is full proof. Some of these things have been happening for years. But others are more on the rise.
If you are born-again and you have drifted into doing the things that were in your past, please get back on path. No one knows when Christ will return (Matthew 24:35-37), and do you want to ashamed when He appears? (1 John 2:28).
Will you be ready when Jesus comes?
