I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of [a]Hades and of Death.(Revelation 1:18).
I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of [a]Hades and of Death.(Revelation 1:18).

This is the last of some of the wicked kings to be posted before proceeding to Jesus’ future reign as the KING who lives forever! Two enemies became friends and agreed to have our Savior crucified.

Manasseh -Anyone who would put innocent children in the fire as a sacrifice had to be super wicked! Yet, it happened when Manasseh was king. Manasseh (who promoted idolatry throughout his kingdom), Also he caused his sons to pass through the fire in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom; he practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft and sorcery, and consulted mediums and spiritists.

He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger. He even set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever;  and I will not again remove the foot of Israel from the land which I have appointed for your fathers (2 Chronicles 33:6-8).

Manasseh repented- He took away the foreign gods and the idol from the house of the Lord, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the Lord and in Jerusalem; and he cast them out of the city. He also repaired the altar of the Lord, sacrificed peace offerings and thank offerings on it, and commanded Judah to serve the Lord God of Israel (2 Chronicles 33:15-16).

Herod the Great- Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men (Matthew 2:16-17).

Pharaoh, king of Egypt did something similar.  So, Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, “Every son who is born you shall cast into the river, and every daughter you shall save alive (Exodus 1:22).

That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9)

Herod Antipas, son of Herod the Great- ruled a territory; he was a co-conspirator in the death of Christ.  When Pilate (a Roman governor) heard of Galilee, he asked if the Man were a Galilean. And as soon as he knew that He belonged to Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem at that time. Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad; for he had desired for a long time to see Him, because he had heard many things about Him, and he hoped to see some miracle done by Him. Then he questioned Him with many words, but He answered him nothing.

And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused Him.  Then Herod, with his men of war, treated Him with contempt and mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate. That very day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other, for previously they had been enemies of each other (Luke 23:6-12).

They killed the servant, He rose to take the throne as KING; they crucified the humble Lamb, but He is coming back with all authority! We may not be treated properly on this earth by the governmental leaders; however, we have the blessed hope of being with the King of kings and Lord! The Righteous KING!

Now that you have read about some of the wicked (evil) kings/leaders of old, it is certain that there is no new thing under the sun. That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9). Yet, we are commanded by God to pray for all those in authority, especially kings (presidents). When we obey the Word of God, our blessings continue to overflow.
