Many people are not aware that they may be taking God’s glory, therefore this message is a warning and a way to share these words to enlighten the readers.
Give unto the Lord glory due to His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. The voice of the Lord is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; Lord is over many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty. Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness (Psalm 29:1-4)
I am the Lord, which is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to carved images (Psalm 42:8). Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:
‘I am the First and I am the Last; besides Me there is no God (Isaiah 45:6).
Even though God is Sovereign, Supreme and above all gods, throughout history it has been known that some people tried to share God’s glory, Lucifer tried to be like the Most-High God, and he became God’s enemy (adversary) and lost all the joys of being in heaven.
“How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ (Isaiah 14:12-14)
King Nebuchadnezzar’s Humiliation
All this came upon King Nebuchadnezzar. At the end of the twelve months, he was walking about the royal palace of Babylon. The king spoke, saying, “Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for a royal dwelling by my mighty power and for the honor of my majesty?”
While the word was still in the king’s mouth, a voice fell from heaven:
“King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: the kingdom has departed from you! And they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. They shall make you eat grass like oxen; and seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses.” That very hour the word was fulfilled concerning Nebuchadnezzar; he was driven from men and ate grass like oxen; his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair had grown like eagles’ feathers and his nails like birds’ claws.
Nebuchadnezzar Praises God
And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation. All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand or say to Him, “What have You done?”
At the same time my reason returned to me, and for the glory of my kingdom, my honor and splendor returned to me. My counselors and nobles resorted to me, I was restored to my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added to me. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride, He is able to put down (Daniel 4:28-37).
AI- People can take God's glory by attributing accomplishments to themselves rather than acknowledging God's role. This can manifest as pride, seeking praise, or failing to give God credit for blessings and successes. Essentially, anything that directs attention away from God and towards oneself can be seen as stealing God's glory. Please take this message seriously because God will not share His glory with anyone!
