The Dangers of Putting Others on Pedestals and How to Avoid It

This is a message to warn those who are putting certain people on pedestals and also for those who are exalting themselves. Ministry is about serving not having others being enslaved to leaders.

Jesus said: For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45); God highly exalted Him because He humbled Himself.  Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,  but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name, which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,  and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:5-11)

Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time (1 Peter  5:6). When someone is put on a pedestal the focus is more on them than it is on God. Some people are putting themselves on pedestals for others to look up to them, which is shameful! Example: Asking people to CashApp, Zelle, Vemo and so on through social media. This certainly gives the impression that they deserve gifts from others. Ain’t no shame in their game.

Some will us this statement: “Give honor to whom honor is due.” That is okay if it’s used in the right perspective. The Word tells us to: Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God (1 Peter 2:17a).

Whoever is being put on a pedestal or putting themselves on a pedestal is not humble.  And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted (Matthew 23:12).

What about the first family and first lady? God has no respect of persons (Romans 2:4); we have different positions but one is better than the other. The church is taking on the ways of the world, instead of abiding by and in the Word of God. Years ago, the pastors’ wives were Sister So and So, and it should be the same today. Some have taken first lady off their names and are now using lady.

We are all brothers and sisters in Christ now and that certainly is what we’re going to be in the eternal realm.

Caution: These people are so into themselves that the truth is not being preached, which leads to improper and false teaching. This was sent to me to read when it comes to the fivefold ministry. A person said this (excerpt): The fivefold ministry may not like this, but I have to say what I’m led to say. Church members can survive without you. She certainly was not led by the Spirit of God.

I went on her page and said this: False teaching: That is not what the Word of God says in Ephesians 4:11-16. The church can never grow spiritually unless it’s following God’s guidelines. Let God be true and every man [woman] a liar (Romans 3:4).

And He [Jesus] Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ (Ephesians 4:11-15).

The Word of God -Let God be true and every man [woman] a liar (Romans 3:4).
