The Next Chapter 10-27-25

The Lord opened the door for me to New Jersey, and the four year chapter of my life has been a blessing to me.  I am not actively involved in ministry in a local church; being an evangelist, my ministry extends beyond the walls of the of the church, and most times it is the same with the prophetic call.

It is so sad when  the question is asked if I preach in a church or different churches, that it has to be explained why I don’t minister within the church walls. The reason many people do not understand most of the five ministry call/office is due to lack of proper teaching.  

The Lord opened the door for my ministry (Burnett Ministries) to be established in 2005; and in 2009 the Spirit of God led me to write and post messages to my email friends,  social media, and my ministry blog (burnettministries.org); also have a conference call Bible study every Tuesday night, - online Biblical messages.

The vision that I was given at the onset of the ministry was to be global; it was shared with the original board of directors and they agreed with what was given to me. Two of the original members have remained with me since the beginning.

Although I was ordained to be youth minister, my ordination certificate says Evangelist Betty Burnet, which was honored by the leaders in the association where I was ordained; nobody but the Lord. There was a step by step process that was necessary before getting to where I am now. Even though I love attending church, hearing the Word of God, worshipping, and praising in songs and fellowshipping with the saints, I have not been a member of a church since 2019.

It was said that “We have to be under a covering” and I wrestled with that until the Spirit of God said I am covered by God. I am not saying that you don’t have to be a member of a church; every Christian should be connected with assemble with other saints.

The reason I have not been a member of a church since 2019 is this- some pastors would have told me what I could or could not write and post when it came to some my messages, because our doctrinal beliefs were different. God called and qualified me and I refuse be under some person’s dictatorship.

I have the freedom to write what the Spirit leads me to write. So here I am in New Jersey in the next chapter that is exciting. At my age, the Lord still has His purpose for me to serve, and though obstacles, challenges, and physical afflictions, God is being glorified. One of my famous quotes is “Age is just a number if you know how to number your days."

Restoration, and being renewed is what is happening to me glory to God! Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16). Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s (Psalm 103:5).
