A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous (Proverbs 13:22). It’s amazing how the Lord has all these blessings stored up to release or pour out on those who walk in obedience to His Word. All those blessings are accumulated to be poured out on us!

Someone I know started receiving checks from a trust of a wealthy person was not born again. We don’t know where our resources will come from; how they will come, or when they will come. Do right by God, trust Him and wait for those unexpected blessings to come.
I was in a movement in the late nineteen eighties and early nineteen nineties that used that scripture on a regular basis. At some point later during my spiritual growth, I realized that the scripture was rightly divided and taken out of context.
In fact, people will take a scripture and throw it out loosely without knowing what it is saying in the verses before and after that particular scripture. That is what it means to be taken out of context. But in reality the scripture in Proverbs 13:22 is encouraging when used correctly. It is by God’s divine providence that He causes things to happen to bless His people.

There are two things that the scripture is saying, tow contrasts- One part speaks of a good man leaving an inheritance to his children’s children, in contrast to the second part saying the wealth of the wicked is stored or laid up for the righteous who are God’s people.
This is the first time I have used that scripture in understanding the true meaning of it, and it was all because of the blessings some I know are receiving.
Caution: You don’t have to go chasing the wind trying to pursue or find blessings on your own. Do right by God, and He will certainly do right by you.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
