On Thursday, September 11th – the day that 911 is commemorated, a friend (Gold Star Mother), her granddaughter and I went to a “Service of Remembrance” in
Atco, New Jersey at the American Legion.
It was a blessing to hear some history about 911 being told over again; what a refresher! Since history is what I like, the service Thursday really perked my interest. That was the first time I had been at a service meeting 911.
It was similar to being in a church service; they people were definitely involved and the passion among the people as the audience participated. They were not just going through the motions; their hearts were in it. A “Gold Star Mother” also
participated in the program.
One of the prayers was to remember all those whose lives are at risk. Another prayer was about people being united.
I am grateful that the Lord allowed me to see people put their whole heart into whatever capacity they served.
Please don’t forget all the families whose loved ones perished in the horrific tragedy o September 11, 2001.
