Thriving in Health and Prosperity Amidst Challenging Times

The Lord is good and worthy to be praised, worshipped and adored- Some days and months did not seem favorable when it came to finances and health, but God honored His Word because He cannot lie (Numbers 23:19). While writing this message, there is an affliction on my body.

A year of one health issue after the other:

Covid; sciatica (the Lord used water aerobics and physical therapy to bring about the healing); orthopedic (carpal tunnel (had an injection); PCP twice a year (follow up); dentist (no problems- semi annual cleaning and x-ray); surgeon (twice a year); oncologist (twice a year); endocrinologist (two times yearly -parathyroid); podiatrist (doing very well- no issues with feet); nephrologist (diagnosed with stage three kidney disease); ENT haven’t seen the or about three years, but still receive prescription nasal spray; ophthalmologist (four visits a year- routine and plugs put in eyelids for dry eyes). Received good report on mammogram and ultrasound (2 year cancer free- survivor); bone density no increased osteopenia;

Many of you may have more situations (afflictions) in your body than me; I just want to encourage you to do what you can to keep as healthy as possible. This testimony also is to encourage others that no matter what is afflicting you, trust God through it all. When you see photos of me, it looks as though I am completely healthy. The secret is, I am completely healthy in the spirit realm.

When you see me physically, I look like the picture of health and despite the afflictions (Psalm 34:19), most of the time I feel like the picture of health. My solution is this: I speak life over my situation daily, and it works because the Word of God is true. How am I able to speak life? I quote the Word of God when it comes to whatever (specifics) that my body is being afflicted with.

All of my doctors are amazed at the way I take care of my bodies to keep my levels in the normal range; they monitor me twice a year. They also say I look “Amazing” for my age, and they tell me to keep doing what I'm doing. All glory honor and praises belong to Father God who is my Keeper (Psalm 121). I did much in the past (unsaved life), living riotously, but the Lord preserved me. That’s why my boast is in Him (2 Corinthians 10:17). Even when pictures are posted, it is to show others how the Lord is preserving me for His glory!

FYI- Study Psalm Ninety- I have lived past what some say the allotted years of our lives are. This was a prayer of Moses written about the Israelites because they rebelled against God; murmured and complained and they wandered in the wilderness for forty years. The carcasses of you who have complained against Me shall fall in this wilderness, all of you who were numbered, according to your entire number, from twenty years old and above (Numbers 14:29).

They could have reached the promise land in eleven days. It is eleven days’ journey from Horeb by way of Mount Seir to Kadesh Barnea.  (Deuteronomy 12:2). Their years were cut short, and some may have been able to live to be eighty years old.

People that who rebelled against God in the beginning had a shortened life span of 120 years (Genesis 6:3). Only God knows the lifespan of each person, however days can be shortened for disobeying God.

From my testimony, it is clearly seen that regardless what my body is afflicted with, God is keeping for His purpose. You make ask: “Why others like Martin Luther King, Jr or John F. Kennedy had a short life” I believe they had served God’s purpose. Remember this, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ only lived thirty three years- He certainly fulfilled God’s purpose.

Take away- If you take care of your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19), spend much time with the Lord (2 Timothy 2:15), regardless of any illnesses or diseases that may afflict your body, long life and lengthy days/years will be yours (Proverbs 3:1-2).

I still believe the Word of God and by Jesus’ stripes I am healed (1 Peter 2:24). That may just be the very reason I am able to keep it moving in spite of what comes against me.

I pray that you will receive blessings, upon blessings in your pursuit to do God’s will in 2026.
