Have Faith and Do Not Doubt!

So much is going on in this world and it certainly is obvious that according to the Bible Jesus is coming soon.

Notice that yesterday’s message was about some Old Testament patriots who did not lose their focus but kept their eyes on the promise of being in a place whose maker and builder was God. In other words, our eternal dwelling has no human intervention; everything was made by God.

Jesus said: Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also (John 14:1-3); this is the hope we have to keep us from losing faith.

He also told us what to expect before He comes and take us out of the evil world. The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age-  Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age? “And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.

For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

And there will be famines, pestilences [all kinds of diseases], and earthquakes in various places.  All these are the beginning of sorrows (Matthew 24:3-8).

Jesus even told us how we were going to go back with Him:

Our Final Victory-   Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

So, when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written:

“Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”

The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:51-58).

The Comfort of Christ’s Coming-

But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

Saints, keep your eyes on Jesus- looking unto Jesus, the  Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2a).

Trust him with all you heart (Proverbs 3:5a).

Regardless of the economy or the circumstances, we should not let it throw us, get us bent out of shape, for our God shall supply all our need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
