Training to Reign

It is high time for the children of God to step to the next level of their faith; everybody should be growing (maturing). That goes for me too. As long as I am on this earth there is room from growth; in other words, I have not arrived yet.

However, I have been taught enough to help others mature in their walk with the Lord. I am concerned about others’ growth; the reason being it is going to affect your eternal status.

Many Christians think they must work to get to heaven, but that’s not true.  For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,  not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9). If anyone thinks they the more works they do, the more pleased the Lord is with them, they are wrong.

If anyone thinks they are going to heaven because they attend church services, that is not true. Many people have gone to hell through the church. Going to heaven is about having a relationship with Christ; it’s about being born again.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ (John 3:3, 5-8).

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Although we don’t work to get to heaven, works do play a major role after salvation. How is that so? The Lord has a plan for each of us to fulfill His purpose with the gifts that have been given to us.

As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles [divine communication] of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen (1 Peter 4:10-11).

Please find out what your specific assignment is and learn how to be developed in it, and this will be the results of your good works.

Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.  And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God (Revelation 19:7-9).
