Donna’s Story

Hi,
I’m Donna.
I was born and raised in Philadelphia and moved to South Jersey after completing High school. I was employed in South Jersey and as a retiree, most of my involvement is in South Jersey. Since many family members and friends still reside in Philly, I go there for visits.
I am happy to share my amazing experience as a member at the Lindenwold Senior Center – It has been an exciting season of new adventures. I heard about the center through the borough and decided to come and see what could benefit me.

From the very beginning of my being there (2024), I felt that this was exactly what was needed for me.
After being there several months, I was stricken with a physical problem that resulted in me having a procedure, and the Lord used the doctors to help bring healing to my body. Once the surgery was over, no further treatments were necessary, praise the Lord. I did not attend the center for two months, but I had a desire to go back to the center; I really missed the fellowship and the different types of activities that are provided for us through the Borough and Camden County, and upon returning I reconnected with some of the original people and met new people.
After returning to the center from my illness, I am more enthusiastic than ever. My life is more energetic and fulfilled being with other seniors and I am looking forward to a greater year of outings to department stores, grocery shopping, other places that definitely gives me a better quality of life, mentally and physically.
Thank you Donna, for sharing your encouraging and motivational story/testimony for others to be edified and driven to “Keep on Pushing” Even though you are laid back and quiet, your testimony to build up seniors and others speak volumes.
