On Tuesday November 11th, Veterans’ day was celebrated nationwide, and I was blessed to be a part of the celebration at Missions BBQ in Deptford, New Jersey.
The Lord orchestrated circumstances through a dear minister sister friend. Since becoming friends, we have also become traveling partners, either to places she has to go or places I need to go. It is so much fun being with people who are not only in the same book; born again (the Bible), but we’re also on the same page (agree with the truth), glory to God!
My friend is a “Gold Star” Mom because her son Anthony was killed in Iraq while serving his country in 2004. I have traveled with her to Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Burlington County, NJ where Anthony is buried.
We traveled to Maryland, Central New Jersey, and to several shore points. I have been so blessed to be included in going various places with her. This was the second time I went with her to Missions BBQ; another friend was included on some of thee trips.
Veterans Day- Many restaurants nationwide provide food for the veterans and I was a recipient of that blessing this year. On Veterans’ day at Missions BBQ, memories of Anthony J. Dixon, along with all veterans are a yearly event where many people come to this restaurant that is truly “Mission Minded” They work tirelessly to please all who come through the doors; they are friendly to all and mingle with the customers. Their service to the public is excellent.

Anthony’s mother, Jackie gave a speech about Anthony and his dedication to the cause of serving the United States on foreign soil was such an amazing testimony! He knew the Lord personally and was willing to die giving his life for the freedom of others.
Many people were touched by her testimony and they came and thanked her for sharing. One young man came over and was so filled with tears that he moved away, but he came back and told Jackie that he served in a different part of Iraq the same time Anthony served. It was such a moving moment for all of us.
AI- The phrase "Some gave all" refers to the sacrifices made by veterans, particularly those who lost their lives in military service. It emphasizes the idea that while many serve, some pay the ultimate price.
Meaning and Context: Sacrifice: The quote highlights the commitment and bravery of those who serve in the armed forces, acknowledging that some individuals have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Honor: It serves as a reminder to honor and remember those who have died in service, recognizing their contributions and the cost of freedom.

"Honor Veterans" is certainly appropriate to use; because “All gave some, Some gave all.”
Thanks be to the Lord God Almighty for all those who served and are those who still are serving; those who lost their lives and those who are still alive.
