A group have people are on a mission in parts of our country in “The Walk for Peace,” a procession of Buddhist monks making their way from Texas to Washington, D.C. It was reported that some Christians follow their route and go to see the procession of men as they walk for peace. It is sad that many people who profess to be saved do not understand what God’s holy Word says about peace, therefore this message is to help you to understand the truth.
Jesus said: Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not be troubled, nor let it be afraid (John 14:27). These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you ]will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world (John 16:33).
Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.
He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it (Matthew 10:34-39).
These verses mean that there is a sword between the saved and the unsaved. The unsaved will be against the born again believers (conflict, persecutions and etc.).
Inner peace that JESUS CHRIST gives through salvation
For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
Therefore, let us not sleep as others do, but let us watch and be sober. Those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing (1 Thessalonians 5:3-11).
Jeremiah They have also healed the hurt of My people slightly, saying, ‘Peace, peace!’ When there is no peace (Jeremiah 6:14).
What about the Christmas song – Hark! the herald angels sing? Glory to the newborn King, peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled!” The King was born, but His reign is futuristic; in the eternal. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end (Luke 1:31-33).
Confirmation: For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [Father of salvation], Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).

Caution: Be careful what and who you follow.
